I know but we as artist can't stand to see other artist being taken advantage of. And as a former criminal justice student i'm not going to allow myself to be a part of something criminal. Using tracing as a learning tool is ok that's how i got ok my hand had to learn the proper outlines. Now i can create those cute images that i have up here done in black and white, no tracing, not even a ref. picture. Ref. pictures are ok too but for those who trace to be able to claim all rights to that "work" is down right wrong and Kuazi and i wont have any part of it. It will take me a while to get our site edited with all the work and figure some way so friends can post comments on each work, until then we'll be here..lurking about and open to comments and pming. Who knows by the time the site is set up DA may have changed their minds.

It is my sincerest hope that dA will undo this injustice. Tracing, in not only my opinion but in those of many other artists, has never been a true art form. As a study device it is questionable, since results vary so much. I, for one must quote the character Shaka, from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, when I say " You aint no artist, you just a tracer. You go around and trace the lines, Get outta here!" (yes, the line has been edited to around a PG or PG13 rating) I can't stand to see a tracer call themselves an artist. This is an insult to myself and thousands of other REAL artists who actually IMAGINE and CREATE our own works.

If someone wishes to imitate another artist, this can be done without tracing, and even without a reference picture. The proof is currently set as my display piece (it was inspired by Frank Miller and his graphic novels).

I must stand beside ~extravegance in her protest against this injustice and will be removing ALL of my work by the end of March, 2009. If dA corrects their mistake then I may start posting on this site again, until then I will be posting with ~extravegance here: [link]

i've been trying to find one, but it seems like they've taken it down... i still don't trust DA enough to keep posting my art work, but obviously i'm keeping my account...btw HI now i remember you! XD feel free to shoot me
